How deli...Happy New Year to and your family, James! How delightful to have a white Christmas! We trust your Holiday was pleasant.

After a week of snow and freezing weather, what we call "pineapple express" has blown in from the Pacific and we're currently having spring-like conditions. Rough going when it's only the middle of January! We've still have a lot of potential cold yet to come.

A November wind storm made a mess of the greenhouse so out we go this afternoon to clean up and begin repairs so my kitchen doesn't have to be covered with seedling trays in March. But with the weather holding to mild, we should be able to get a lot done. I love winter gardening! It holds the promise of spring!

We're still digging up fall potatoes (yukon gold)as we need them and have been replacing them with garlic bulbs for summer harvest. The broccoli and cabbage have been chewed by some garden pest but a few still stand for early spring harvest along with over-winter onions.

The leeks look great- Let the garden games begin!!!Mrs. Mikehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14052754506227834579noreply@blogger.com
